I believe our founding fathers meant for the constitution to protect our civil rights....and be a living document that could be amended to change as society changes. We are at a time when there are those who feel they can circumvent our civil rights with a new Homeland Security Plan. However, I believe nothing can be written to replace our 4th Amendment. Police do need to do their jobs, but only within the bounds of our civil rights. There is no magic way for them to "get around" these rights. This does make thier job harder but that is the way it has to be done. I don't believe we need to change or add to our 4th Amendment at this time. We just need our civil authorities to live within it's bounds.
