—Letters To The Editor—
Create Jobs For Americans To The Record-Courier: A while ago I read that Bill Gates and Mayor Michael Bloomberg were planning on donating a total of $500 million to reduce the incidence of smoking in developing countries, especially China. I haven’t seen any recent information on this subject, but I believe they made a commitment to this ridiculous project. Why are they concerned with the habits of the Chinese people? Do the Chinese worry about our health when they send all of those tainted products to the U.S.? Do the Chinese concern themselves with our economy when they flood our country with their products and eliminate U.S. jobs? It is admirable for Bill and Mike to give back to society some of the many millions they have earned, but they should concern themselves with the plight of all the Americans who have lost their jobs because of the cheap goods manufactured in China and exported to the U.S. With U.S. unemployment projected to approach 10% in 2009, they should be investing the $500 million in the U.S. to create jobs for Americans, the same American workers who made them wealthy. Help Just A Phone Call Away To The Record-Courier: In reading the standoff between the citizens (miners’) group and the F.S. employees as an argument with RS2477 ways are under the jurisdictional authority of U.S. Congress ‘conflict of law’ or the chief forester’s illegal use of administrative fiat (shell game) of use to access the public domain of the federal lands. Public uses of public lands, conflict of law, U.S. constitutional law of Article IV, Section 1, full faith and credit clause compel one state to treat as valid a judgement rendered in another state which had proper jurisdictional oversight in this case federal courts to federal lands, not state lands-Kangroo courts, infringements-collusions. In the California coastal community, etal. V. Granite Rock Quarry Co., No. 85-1200, U.S. Supreme Court of U.S. 480U.S. 572 1075.Ct 1419; 947.Ed. 2d 577; (1987) US Lexis 1384; 55 U.S.L.W. 4366; ERC (BNA) 1713; 17ELR 20563, page 14 of the text would indicate that under ‘conflict of law’ between a congressional grant, pre 1976 uses of egress-ingress to enter the public domain, citizens by a grant of expost facto constitutional law, Art. 1, Section 9 & 10 and the constitutional protections of the ‘property clause’ of Art. IV, 3rd clause, 2nd paragraph, gives only Congress, and not the executive branch, through self delegated authority by executive ‘fiat’ as a conflict of law and would require under the U.S. Justice Department and the office of the Solicitor’s General to intervene in Baker Co. rights to use to access public domain. Under the case law of the Granite Rock Co. case, the U.S. Supreme Court 480 U.S. 613; 572, 613, 1075. Ct 1419, 1441, 942, Ed. 2d 577 612; 1987 U.S. Lexis 1384; that its the use of federal lands, and preempts-precludes environmental controls and ‘patentees,’ i.e. private lands, that would clash with the working of use under public land uses of Art. IV, 3rd clause, 2nd paragraph-property clause and the Article VI, Supremacy clause of U.S. Court law. People’s right to enter the public domain. The U.S. Department of Justice, created by Act of Congress in 1870, Office of U.S. Attorney General to become the nucleus of dept. Act of 1870 also set up the office of Solicitor General to represent government in Supreme Court case and empowered creation of assistants to aid Attorney General in administering department. Department furnishes legal counsel in federal cases, provides means for enforcement of federal laws, and officially construes laws-subject to court decisions-under which government officials act, i.e. USFS-BLM agents. Department consists of eight specialized divisions, (e.g. anti trust div.), three bureaus (e.g., FBI of investigation) and two boards. In reviewing this, the local officials, County Commissioners, courts and Sheriff Department heads could request this, to intervene and the investigation by Solicitor General’s office in the Portland Federal office building of the North West Regional district under Dept. of U.S. Justice office just a phone call away. Maybe this action will be a ‘test’(public trust) by the Obama’s Administrative duty to the office of Dept. of Justice and the Solicitor’s General’s office to intervene in Baker Co. and F.S. ‘uses’ of egress-ingress and the 1976 Act prior grandfathered use of the RS2477 ways prior rights threshold that the F.S. or BLM cannot preclude (conflict of law) congressional grants by U.S. Congress the property clause and supremacy clause, U.S. Constitutional law, (checks and balances gov.) Is it rule of law or politics at work? Bruce Parke Sumpter, Ore.
Reminders To The Record-Courier: Well this title was one that I couldn’t let go of to let one’s imagination run wild at its best on this one. We are all none to familiar with that wonderful word thru life helping us along in some way or another. Wanted to get back to my wonderful sense of humor of writing, wanted to thank the individual who called me on the issue of windows etc. and got to meet after all these years of growing up as kids and all remembering the wonderful Christmas lights they do every year which was part of our conversation in meeting with him. Now what does reminders have to do with all this one might ask? Well, even given the age agenda, so to speak, I guess we all face that issue and was reminded to call in making sure one didn’t forget gotcha! How many times have most of us been there and done that as well? I was really surprised when it was mentioned to me this individual had no computer. Well at least he is safe for now. Thought we could beat it too so to speak, ha now we do have a Track Phone as well for emergency purposes only. It was nice to have on our trip to Burns to be safe and assured as well, but useless thru the canyons and all. I was even shown on how you could set up appointments etc. and have the crazy thing remind you right up to 10 minutes or so, so they wouldn’t miss their appointment. Unfortunately we hit and missed and finely met etc. Like I said before so far this individual seems to be safe for now unless the grandkids, etc. get involved—awk! So I just made reference to the fact that he was one of those kind of people, of course answers came forth making that comment. He did help in giving some information on our Border Collie that we were having some issues with and had to let go of him, but it even worked out for the good for him because he needed his freedom and he is out in the country now and fitting right in with his new owners being an outside dog now. His previous owner is happy at that to see her beloved being well taken care of let alone being neighbors, the other one we have and intend to do good by her in her last few years etc. The comment was that they can do funny things not giving them their freedom so this helped to be reassured we had made a good decision at that. Regarding windows, etc. another use for them in the garden is to protect the hale storms that we get to protect the leaves and all. We have all experienced that one way or another—no sooner planted corn last year we had the storm and out they came. Forget the little pesky earwigs and all so didn’t plant them this year—yes cucumbers are coming up now as well, and potatoes are making their way in all their glory. And saw my little frog friend in the garden too. Coffee Anyone, Brenda Dickison Baker City
