Lyn M. Grant, 55, of Baker City, Ore. passed away peacefully in the presence of her loved ones at her home during the late afternoon of Dec. 8, 2009, after a short, but hard battle with brain cancer.  Visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, from 3-7 p.m. at Coles Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Coles Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Cross of the Baker Valley Church of Christ officiating. Interment was  at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Lyn was born in Milwaukee, Wisc., to Richard and Ellen Fuller on Sept. 22, 1954. Lyn was a 1972 graduate of Benicia High School in Benicia, Calif. She married the love of her life, Jim, on Aug. 27, 1982, in Pendleton, Ore.
Lyn began her career in retail at the age of 9, helping out her parents who managed a Sprouse-Reitz. Lyn and Jim met in Oak Harbor, Wash., and later moved to Pendleton to be near his family and begin their life together. She then began her 19-year-long career with Bi-Mart. During her career she was offered the opportunity to be an area coordinator in the Bi-Mart that was being built in Baker City. After numerous medical issues she regretfully had to stop working.
Lyn only had one biological child, Frankie, but easily became a second mom to numerous others. Lyn was an avid fan of the Seattle Mariners and Danielle Steel.
