Cherry Valentine On Mental Health

Cherry always wished to spread awareness of the value of mental health through the influence of his reputation. He has had several challenges, especially since he thought of himself as a drag queen. He didn’t want the others to go through all the difficulties he experienced.

He always encouraged other drag queens to be themselves and gave mental health a high priority by promoting the “Take A Moment” initiative. Before he passed away a few months later, Cherry supported the effort and said the following on April 5, 2022:

“I became a Mental Health Nurse in 2015 for a lot of reasons, the main being that I just wanted to help those who needed it.

It’s extremely difficult for one person to change a system, and a societal view, but the positive collaborative work between people really does have the power to change the world, raise awareness, shed light, and that is what campaigns like this can continue to do.”
