In 2015, Lala Kent worked at Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant SUR, where she met film producer Randall Emmett for the first time (or “Sexy Unique Restaurant”). Kent was filming the fourth season of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules at the time.
The reality star talked about her new relationship on her show, but she didn’t reveal Emmett’s name until December 2017, when he got divorced from actress Ambyr Childers. A little less than a year after that, Emmett asked Kent to marry him.
Emmett stayed away from the camera for a few years, but he started to show up on Vanderpump Rules when season 8 started in January 2020. In September 2020, Kent and Emmett announced that they were going to have their first child together.
During a maternity shoot in March 2021, Kent told the source, “It’s the most beautiful time of my life.” The couple was waiting for the birth of their daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, who was born later that month.
After three years together, the couple broke up in October 2021. Kent later said that Emmett had cheated on her over and over again. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in January 2022, Kent told Andy Cohen, “It’s something they’ve done more than once.”
“It’s not just one person; it’s a lot of people. I believe it started after I got sober, and it’s just … I’m not sure how I missed it.” In July 2022, an article in the Los Angeles Times said that Emmett had given women film roles in exchange for sexual favours.
Sallie Hofmeister, a spokeswoman for Emmett, said in a statement to a source that the producer “vehemently denies the claims going back to 2012.” Hofmeister also said that the accusations were part of what he called “Randall’s ex-now-familiar girlfriend’s smear campaign to change the outcome of their custody dispute.”
Hofmeister said, “Lala Kent has lied and tricked people in her desperate attempt to get full custody of their daughter, keep her name in the news, and stay in reality TV.”
Why Did Lala and Randall Break Up?
Lala knew she had to break up with Randall because he was allegedly cheating on her. Page Six reports that she said she had a bad feeling in her stomach and “got the f— out.” “of the connection. He cheated on her while he was on a trip to Nashville, so they say.
Lala said, “Unfortunately for me, I’ve had my head in the sand. I saw pictures of Randall with other women in Nashville. I don’t know how in the hell I missed so much of this.”
She went on, “I buried my head in the sand for a long time, but I’m still thankful. What’re five years and a few months compared to where I would have been?” She is talking about how she was able to leave him before they were married.

After they broke up, she went to a book signing with a completely different tattoo than the one she had for Randall. It was said that Randall didn’t cheat just once. On Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in January 2022, Lala said that he had been cheating on his wife for “quite a while.”
When a fan asked about the old relationship, she said, “It was kind of repeated behaviour that I found out about.” She made it clear that he had cheated on her with “many” people and that she thinks it started after she got clean.
Lala said in the interview that Randall’s behaviour, like always being on his phone, should have been a warning sign. Now, she’s over the relationship, even though she hasn’t figured out what happened.
Lala and Randall have an 8-month-old daughter named Ocean, and Lala told Andy, “I don’t want to talk to that person if it doesn’t have to do with our child.” Lala also said that the engagement ring Randall gave her was a fake.
She thought she had a 6-carat round-cut diamond ring, but after she and Randall broke up, she took the ring to a jeweller and found out that it had been treated to change its colour and was “most likely brown” before.
