Years after false reports suggested the former US president had passed away following a heart attack, Donald Trump has been the target of yet another online death hoax.

A fresh Twitter death hoax has been launched today, and Donald Trump is the latest victim.

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, the hashtag #TrumpIsDead was trending on social media, but the fact-checking website Snopes revealed it was a hoax. However, we are confident that Trump’s aides would confirm the news if it were true.

As of the time of writing, the 76-year-old former president has not responded to the false information.

Fake ‘Donald Trump Dead’ Cnn Headline Circulates on Twitter

After other people joined the fake rumors, the hashtag #TrumpIsDead became a trending topic on Twitter all around the world. Unknown as to who started the story, comedian Tim Heidecker’s tweet, which received over 60,000 likes and 9,500 retweets, has gone viral.

Trump is no more (died badly). Please “like” and “share,” wrote Heidecker.

Hours before, the comedian tweeted about Trump’s reaction to the Paul Pelosi attack and said: “I’m sad to say sounds like he’s dying here. In fact, I believe that it’s possible that he has a really serious illness that is causing his death. Although we don’t know, it’s bad.

The prank was widely spread among Heidecker’s 542,000 followers. “I just heard from a friend that he died,” one user tweeted.

Someone else went a step further and made a phony CNN headline that said, “Donald Trump dead at 76.” The fake article states that “autoerotic asphyxiation” was the cause of death.

Trump Was Victim of the 2016 Death Hoax

In August 2016, someone made the false allegation that Donald Trump had died of a “violent heart attack,” which was the first death hoax directed against him. A convincing photograph that appeared to show a lifeless Trump laying on the ground accompanied the false information.

The tale was disproved by Snopes and Politifact, but oddly, the image had some legitimacy. There is a legitimate picture of Trump on the ground, however, it was taken in 2007 during his appearance at WrestleMania 23.

In a simulated battle between Trump and Vince McMahon at the Battle of the Billionaires event, the former had his head shaved live on television.

Trump’s ‘fight’ didn’t go well either, as Steve Austin left him in the ring stunned after finishing him with the famous Stone Cold Stunner:
