The best love. Kellie Pickler and her husband Kyle Jacobs were married for more than ten years before Jacobs died in a tragic accident. They had a happy life together, full of laughter and music.
Since her time on American Idol, Pickler has been known as a blonde bombshell of country music, while Jacobs has made his own mark behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. As a writer who has won awards, he and the North Carolina native often worked together to make her songs come to life.
In a 2017 episode of BUILD, Pickler talked about her song “My Angel,” which was written to honour her late grandmother, and said, “Our relationship is really special because we get to write together and Kyle produces me and stuff.” “Seeing the song come to life was beautiful.”
Jacobs, for his part, said that the track “turned out to be really special” because the two artists were able to work together and use their skills.
When they first met in the early 2000s, it was through a mutual friend. The Minnesotan didn’t hold back when trying to impress the Mistletoe Secret star with his skills.
In a December 2015 interview with the media, the two talked about Jacobs’ first pick-up line: “Hi, I’m Kyle. “I write songs.”
Pickler joked about how she felt at the time, telling the media, “I was like, ‘Great,'” with a roll of the eyes. “No, we didn’t start writing that night,” she said.
In July 2010, the two lovers got engaged. After planning a big wedding in Nashville, they changed their minds at the last minute and went to Antigua for a small wedding on New Year’s Day 2011.
The next month, Pickler told the media, “It was great because we didn’t plan anything.” “I packed the dress for the wedding, and he packed an outfit. When we flew there, we didn’t know what kind of cake we’d get. We didn’t know what we would eat. It was the most amazing day of my life.”
In November 2015, they were both in a reality show on CMT called I Love Kelly Pickler that was modelled after I Love Lucy. At the time, Jacobs told the media that the show showed the best parts of their happy marriage.
“We love our marriage, and it will always be number one. But laughing is one of our favourite things to do. “We want to show people that,” he said.
I Love Kellie Pickler had three seasons and ended in October 2017. However, The Couple Kept Making Videos About How Much They Loved Each Other until Jacobs’ Tragic Death in February 2023.

Picker told the media how happy she was that the couple decided to elope at the last minute.

Pickler was happy about the success of her husband.

Jacobs talked about how crazy his relationship with Pickler was and how it was shown in their CMT reality show.
Jacobs told the media at the time, “It’s kind of the crazy things Kellie gets herself into, and I kind of have to get her out of it.” “It’s really just love and laughter. We love our marriage, and it’s always number one. But laughing is one of our favourite things to do.”

The singer of “Red High Heels” explained why Jacobs’ proposal was “one of the most special days of my life.”
“Today is the birthday of my grandmother, and it’s also the day my husband Kyle asked me to marry him. On that date in 2010, Kyle and I were on what he called a “vacation” in Rosemary Beach, Florida. After a romantic dinner that night, we went for a walk on the beach at sunset… I had no idea that he had hidden a small wooden box in the sand. It looked like it came from the sea, but when I opened it, I found a real treasure,” she wrote on Instagram. “Inside was a beautiful engagement ring and a journal that Kyle had written for me.”
She went on to say, “After Kyle got down on one knee and I yelled “YES!”, we watched the sunset slowly turn a beautiful day into a colourful ending… What was so crazy was that Kyle didn’t know that THAT day was also my grandmother’s birthday. It felt like my beautiful angel, whom I call mom, was blessing us… So, Kyle and I like to celebrate as a couple on June 15. Still and always crazy about each other… It is #OurDay.”

He wrote in the caption of an Instagram post, “I’m pretty sure I married the prettiest girl on earth.”

Jacobs wrote about his adventurous partner and the trip they took together.
“I adore the fact that my wife @kelliepickler enjoys living on the edge,” he posted on Instagram. In a second post, he wrote: “Me and my gorgeous adventure companion @kelliepickler in Alaska scaling mountains and wrestling bears… Don’t be afraid, the bears were nice to us.”

On their 11th wedding anniversary, the man who wrote “Memory of You” did something special for his wife.
“Happy 11th Anniversary to my Patriotic Princess… @kelliepickler… Her mind, heart, and soul are not only committed to our military and first responders but they are also driven to show them how much we love and appreciate them. And the good news for me is that she loves me too 🙂 #lovewins,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I feel so, so good about myself because of him. “When I’m with him, I feel so beautiful,” the country singer told The Boot. “He tells me all the time that he likes me better without makeup and in sweatpants.
