Who Was Amie Harwick, the Girlfriend of Drew Carey?
Growing up, Amie Harwick lived with her adoptive parents. She was able to earn enough money from her profession as a dancer and model to fund her education through college and university. She received her schooling at California State Polytechnic and University in Pomona, where she majored in Psychology.
Later, she returned to school and graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. She then obtained her medical license and rose to fame as a psychotherapist.

What Was the Cause of Her Girlfriend’s Death?
After celebrating Valentine’s Day with her loved ones, Amie Harwick was found unresponsive in the early hours of February 15, 2020. Her body was found 20 feet below the bedroom balcony of her Hollywood Hills condominium.
The neighbors of Amie called the LAPD after hearing a woman screaming and reporting the incident. Despite being swiftly transported to the hospital, Harwick finally passed away there.
The autopsy revealed that she had suffered blunt force injuries to her head and torso. In addition, the victim displayed signs of manual strangulation, suggesting that the attacker’s hands or another body part were used to choke them. Her death was caused by a fall from her apartment’s third-floor balcony.
Gareth Pursehouse, Harwick’s ex-boyfriend, was initially detained on suspicion of murder but was later released after posting a $2 million bond. A short while later, he was arrested once more, this time on suspicion of first-degree murder and home invasion with lying as an aggravating factor. Pursehouse might have received the death penalty for his crimes, but he pleaded not guilty in April 2020.
