Is Famous Musician Rod Stewart Still Alive and What Is He Doing?

Rod Stewart is heartbroken about the loss of his brothers Bob and Don. Earlier this week, the 77-year-old singer announced on Instagram that he had lost his brother Bob the night before. “It’s with tremendous grief that I announce the demise of my brother Bob last night,” he said.

After only two months, I lost two of my closest friends. Don and Bob, you will never be replaced as friends. The Hon. Rod Stewart Don passed away in September, and Bob just this past Wednesday. They passed away only two months apart.

Rod shared his sorrow at the loss of his older brother Don and for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 via an Instagram post. Those last two days have been absolutely awful. The British artist wrote, “We all lost Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today at 96, and on Tuesday we lost my brother Don at 94.”

The Queen has been a constant force for peace and harmony in my life. Someone who shone brightly in our lives and whose memory will live on in perpetuity. The opportunity to play for her was pretty humbling. I am deeply saddened for the Royal Family.

Holy Grail, Long Live the King! Rod is the youngest of five siblings, and he still has two sisters, Peggy and Mary, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Biography of Rod Stewart

Musician Rod Stewart was born in the United Kingdom on January 10, 1945. With over 120 million recordings sold around the world, Stewart is one of the most successful musicians of all time. He has had a total of 62 top 10 singles in the UK, 31 of which peaked in the top five, and nine number-one albums there.

To date, Stewart has amassed a total of 16 top ten hits in the United States, four of which have topped the Billboard Hot 100. For his contributions to music and philanthropy, he was knighted in the 2016 Birthday Honours.

Having been diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May of 2000, Stewart immediately had surgery. His vocal cord nodule was said to be harmless in the past. The operation that followed was not only a near-death experience for him physically, but also compromised his ability to sing, forcing him to start over.

Since then, he has worked tirelessly to raise money for the City of Hope Foundation’s mission to end childhood cancer forever. Stewart said in September 2019 that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017 and had been given the all-clear after undergoing treatment.
