Nobody handles makeovers better than celebrities, particularly when it comes to showing off drastic weight loss and reshaping their bodies. Jonah Hill is but one illustration.
The actor started losing weight in 2011, but his efforts to drop the 40 pounds he had accumulated for his War Dogs part in 2015 were finally successful in 2017. He sought the assistance of a nutritionist, a trainer, and even some slim and toned friends, including his 21 Jump Street co-star Channing Tatum, for advice in order to achieve this.
Background on Hill’s Weight Loss Journey
“I put on weight for this movie War Dogs, and then I wanted to get in better shape, so I called Channing Tatum and asked, ‘Hey, if I eat less and go to a trainer, will I get in better shape?'” Hill talked about it on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show in August 2016.
“And [Tatum] said, ‘Yes, you stupid motherf–Ker, of course, you will. “It’s the easiest thing in the world.” In October 2018, the star of “Superbad” was honest about having trouble with his weight. “I think everyone has a version of themselves,” he said at the time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“I call it a snapshot of who you are at some point in your life.” “You’re trying to hide from the world or it makes you feel a certain way, and even if you become successful, grow up, get good-looking, or whatever, the things you think will fix the problem stay with you in some way.
So, for me, it’s definitely being a 14-year-old kid who is overweight, wants to fit in with skaters and hip-hop kids, feels lonely, and maybe doesn’t know what he or she is worth.

Hill will start filming the Netflix TV show Maniac with his Superbad co-star Emma Stone in August. He is also considering a crossover between 21 Jump Street and Men in Black with Channing Tatum, a biopic about the man behind the Atlanta Olympics bombing, Richard Jewell, with Wolf of Wall Street friend Leonardo DiCaprio, and his directorial debut, the Mid-’90s, which stars Michelle Williams.
Hill has a lot going on, but that doesn’t stop him from going to the gym.
