The singer said she was happy to relive her journey with her fans in the official press release for Love Lizzo.
“When I was younger, I never imagined that I’d have the opportunity to experience all that I’ve done so far in my life, and I’m only getting started. I’m so happy to be able to relive my adventure and share it with my fans and HBO Max, she exclaimed.
You can witness the time, patience, blood, sweat, and tears that went into this process from Cuz I Love You through my dramatic world tour, losing and finding love, and writing my new album Special. To become an overnight success takes 10 years, so hopefully, I can encourage other up-and-coming artists to persevere.
Doug Pray, who previously served as executive producer for HBO’s The Defiant Ones, which analyses the collaboration between Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, is the director of Love Lizzo.
