A villain role suits Jason Momoa just fine. The 42-year-old Aquaman star will join the Fast & Furious cast in the forthcoming 10th film. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the New York City premiere of The Batman on Tuesday, he gave some hints about his character.
“I’m leaving for Fast 10 now. So, I’m off to London to start my own little indie film company, “A quip came from his lips. “It’s great because it’s been a long since I’ve had to play the villain. I’ve decided to embrace my inner bad guy and start acting the part. I don’t know, just some flair.”
The popular Fast & Furious series will conclude with the next 10th and 11th installments. As with the other five films in the series, director Justin Lin will be at the helm. Michelle Rodriguez, Sung Kang, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Nathalie Emmanuel are set to return alongside Vin Diesel.
Rapper Cardi B, who had an unforgettable appearance in F9, is back as well. In the past, Diesel has told Entertainment Tonight that he is “very much enthusiastic to grow her character and to stretch it to the climax” of F9, in which Cardi plays the role of Leysa. “In the end, she arrived just in the nick of time. She arrived in the nick of time, in Fast 9.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has confirmed to date that he will not be returning to the cast of the Fast and Furious film series, despite Vin Diesel’s public request for his participation in an Instagram post that was published in November. Johnson anticipated Diesel’s action as “evidence of his deceptive ways.
” Johnson expressed his shock at Vin’s last tweet to CNN at the end of the year. “When Vin and I finally met face to face in June, after years of avoiding one other on social media, I told him frankly and discreetly that I would not be returning to the franchise.”
“I was strong yet gracious in my statements and told that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise’s success, but that there was no possibility I would return,” he said. “I also had a private conversation with my partners at Universal, and they are incredibly kind and helpful.”
On April 7, 2023, audiences may expect to see Fast & Furious 10.
