Every Thanksgiving meal is better with alcohol (if consumed moderately, of course), but are liquor stores open on this day?
In 2022, Thanksgiving is observed on November 24. The day is intended to be spent with loved ones and is always marked on the fourth Thursday of the month.
The liquor shop may be open, but many of you may be intending to bring a bottle of wine or champagne with you when you visit family or friends.
Are Liquor Stores Open on Thanksgiving Day?
Both yes and no are the answers to this.
State laws determine when liquor stores can open and close on Thanksgiving. While it is permitted in some areas, selling alcohol on this holiday is prohibited in others.
To be safe, we advise that you complete all of your holiday liquor buying in advance.
The list of states that primarily permit liquor stores to remain open on Thanksgiving is as follows:

- Louisiana (Restriction on liquor sale in a few regions)

Although the aforementioned regions are permitted to sell alcohol, not all stores may be open on Thanksgiving 2022. Some people might even work fewer hours. Before stopping, give the closest store a call.
According to ABCnews, alcohol retailers aren’t permitted to open before 10 am or close after 9 pm on any given day.

Do Not Drink and Drive
It goes without saying that you should never drive after drinking, not just on Thanksgiving Day but at all times.
Police will, however, be out in force on the major thoroughfares and other locations to enforce DUI laws, ensuring that everyone abides by them strictly.
After drinking, staying at home or calling a cab would not only save your life but also prevent danger to others.
Chris Cook, the chief of police in White Settlement, stated: “We are aware that there are gatherings, but you must choose wisely. A perfectly sober person must be designated as your rider, or you can use a ride-hailing service.

What is Closed On November 24, 2022?
On Thursday, a number of services will be unavailable, including banking.
All American banks, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, U.S. Bancorp, and Goldman Sachs, will stay closed. On Friday, though, they will reopen.
Some grocery stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day 2022, much like liquor stores, so that their staff members can spend the holiday with their loved ones. However, a few will be open, including Acme, Food Lion, and United Supermarkets. However, they might work fewer hours.
There will be no mail delivery on Thanksgiving because US Postal Services will also be closed on Thursday.
