Let’s find out how many Expendables movies there are, what sequence to see them in, whether doing so is necessary, and whether there will be any other Expendables films.

The Expendables: How Many Movies Are There?

The Expendables franchise presently has three films. The three films are titled The Expendables (2010), The Expendables 2 (2012), and The Expendables 3. (2014).

The Expendables movies are as follows:

The Expendables Movies in Order

The Expendable movies are now in a very straightforward order. Because they are continuing the plot and expanding the cast with new (old) great performers, you should watch them in the sequence they were released.

Even said, there have been discussions regarding more features, including a spin-off movie, so the order in which you view The Expandables series movies may vary in the future.

The Expendables (2010)

Stallone’s character Barney Ross has nothing to lose. He is the elder and strategist of this potent marginal coalition, fearless and emotionally void. He is solely tethered to his truck, seaplane, and a group of devoted contemporary soldiers.

His team consists of Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), a combat veteran and expert sniper who battles his own demons, Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), a former member of the Special Air Force who excels at anything that has a blade, Yin Yang (Jet Li), a master of close combat, Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), who has known Barney for ten years and is an expert in long-barreled weapons, To

Barney and his band of mercenaries set off on a seemingly regular mission when a mystery guy gives them a job that nobody else wants: to remove General Gaza (David Zayas), the ruler of the little island nation of Vilena, and stop years of bloodshed and murder.

Barney and Christmas meet with contact Sandra (Giselle Itie), an activist with a sinister secret, while on a reconnaissance trip in Vilena. Additionally, they encounter former CIA agent James Monroe (Eric Roberts) and his ally Paine, their ultimate opponent (Steve Austin). When anything goes awry, Barney and Christmas are forced to abandon Sandra, killing her.

Barney, driven by this failure, persuades the group to go back to Vilena, free the prisoner, and finish the job that had been started. Furthermore, perhaps for his own soul.

The Expendables 2 (2012)

A mission to rescue Dr. Zhoura (Wenbo Li), who is being held captive by kidnappers, and to free Trench’s mercenary is undertaken in Nepal by mercenary leader Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), knife-fighting expert Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), chest-to-chest expert Yin Yang (Jet Li), heavy weapons specialist Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), Toll Road explosives expert Randy Couture (Arnold Schwarzenegger).

Billy informs Ross that he intends to retire from work and live with a girl when he gets back to New Orleans. Later, CIA agent Mr. Church sends Ross on a new mission that he is compelled to accept (Bruce Willis). The assignment is to travel to Russia and recover an item from the crashed aircraft.

The second movie’s sequel, which was directed by Simon West and was the brainchild of Sylvester Stallone and Richard Wenk, saw Stallone reuniting the biggest action cast of all time, if not only of our time. Along with him, there are Scott Adkins, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, and Bruce Willis.

The Expendables 3 (2014)

A knife expert and physician known as Doctor Death (Wesley Snipes), also known as Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), is liberated from a military prison by mercenaries while being transported by train. The mercenaries are led by Barney Ross and consist of Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), and Toll Road (Randy Couture).

To stop a shipment of weaponry from getting to a war starter in Somalia, they require a doctor. And when they get to the pickup location, they are shocked to encounter Mel Gibson, a former combat partner from the Conrad Stonebanks team, selling guns.

With the exception of Stonebanks, who wounds Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), who is now in serious condition, the crew is able to kill all the smugglers. Despite the absence of Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Micky Rourke, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Chuck Norris this time around, new actors like Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, and Wesley Snipes will nonetheless provide you with plenty of entertainment.

Do You Need to Watch The Expendables Movies in Order?

The Expendables movies must be seen in chronological order. Every film follows the plot of the one before it as well as the character arcs. Even fresh actors can occasionally be linked to plots from older films.

Will There Be More The Expendables Movies?

The fourth installment of The Expendables will likely be released in 2022. The Expendables: A Christmas Story, a spin-off film focusing on Jason Statham’s persona, is apparently also in production. The ExpendaBelles, an all-female film, was the subject of the previous discussion. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any recent information about that movie.
