Today, October 13th, a 24-hour Royal Mail strike will start; it is anticipated to severely disrupt postal operations.
The Communication Workers Union members who organized the protests also organized the Royal Mail strike (CWU).
In order to draw attention to the concerns of the Royal Mail employees, the Union has disclosed a total of 19 days of strikes occurring in October and November.
Royal Mail Is on Strike Today, Thursday, October 13th

Will There Be Postal Delivery on Royal Mail Strike Day?
Despite having a fully functional system in place to provide the least amount of inconvenience possible, sources indicate that the Royal Mail Strike taking place today, Thursday, October 13, will interfere with postal delivery.
No letters will be delivered on the days of the strikes, as the official website had previously declared, but exceptional deliveries would be given priority and delivered.
“We cannot guarantee delivery by 9 am or 1 pm the next day for products posted on Wednesday, October 12, Thursday, October 13, and Friday, or for things posted from Wednesday, October 19, up to and including items posted on Wednesday, October 26,” the Royal Mail states. For certain times, the delivery promise will be suspended.
The officials state that during strike days, along with other Tracked24 packages, Royal Mail will prioritize the delivery of Covid test kits and prescription drugs whenever possible.
International package and letter deliveries will resume the day after the strike is over, according to Royal Mail.
