In advance of Drake’s rematch with Israel Adesanya in the UFC, Alex Pereira is making fun of the fighter.
In preparation for his forthcoming battle at UFC 287, Pereira tweeted a video of himself sparring on Tuesday, March 14. The Brazilian mixed martial artist in the video strikes his padded helper repeatedly with punches and kicks.
Pereira captioned the picture with the phrase “@champagnepapi – I hope this time you gambled on the right guy” and an emoji of a money mouth.
Drake bet on the debut UFC 281 bout between Pereira and Adesanya, which went down on Nov. 12, 2022, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. In order for Adesanya to win the middleweight championship match, Drizzy bet $2 million. The “Rich Flex” rapper lost his bag, though, after Pereira pulled off an unexpected upset by winning by TKO in the fifth round.

This is not the first time a UFC fighter has called Drake out. After Drake wagered $200,000 that he would lose in UFC 278, Leon Edwards had some criticism for the 6 God last August.
In the post-fight interview, when Edwards was asked about Drake betting against him, he said, “Next time, back me and get me one of those Rolexes you gave to Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann. Please send me one.”
After Drake bet $275,000 that Colby Covington would lose in UFC 272 vs Jorge Masvidal a few months earlier, in March 2022, Colby Covington told Drake about it.
In the post-fight press conference, Covington said, “Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight. “To pay the money back, he must resume selling those terrible records. He ought to have visited MyBookie[.agChoice ]’s America’s of the Week.
I made an effort to offer everyone the choice of the week. America chose me as the week’s top player, and I am the champ. Drake, you’re bad at gambling on sports. Return to rapping and your pathetic little CDs.”
