Lil Uzi Vert makes a hint about a potential new project with Playboi Carti.
On Sunday, March 19, Lil Uzi Vert posted a picture of a painting of a father with two kids standing next to him on his Instagram Stories. “Me and my luv going 2 take over the world,” is written in the description, and an upside-down Latin cross emoji is placed between the usernames of Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi.
What does that signify, then? It might indicate that a Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert joint album is imminent. That can also indicate that the “Shoota” collaborators will appear in a song shortly. In any case, this is a noteworthy development for followers of both Uzi and Carti.
The prospect of a Lil Uzi Vert collaborative album was discussed by Playboi Carti in the cover story for XXL in April 2022.
At the time, he told the publication, “I adore Uzi to death. Uzi is now creating some crazy music. About a lot of things, I’m not sure he’s sincere. But I do believe that given time, we can transform the world.

Playboi Carti just received some love from Lil Uzi Vert during his performance at the 2023 Rolling Loud California event. He briefly played an unpublished song while praising his friend and old rap opponent.
Carti raps in the song, “Shout out to Carti, Shout out to Carti/We don’t talk hardly/But that’s where my heart is.
If this latest Carti collaboration appears on Uzi’s eagerly anticipated Pink Tape EP is unknown. However, the mastermind of Eternal Atake promised attendees of the Rolling Loud California festival that the record will be released very soon.
He apologized to the audience for making them wait so long for the music. “That s**t is lame; I used to think that was amazing.”
I’m finishing up Pink Tape, and this time I’m going to keep my word. I’ve broken a lot of promises in the past.
