Since December, when he took a plea deal in the YSL racketeering case, Gunna has been staying out of sight. But now, a small piece of a new song has come out with Gunna rapping in his smooth voice.
On Saturday (March 18), Gunna’s friend and model Brittany Reshun posted a short clip of an unreleased song from the Atlanta rapper on her Instagram Story, which has since ended. The clip was meant to let fans know what he was thinking at the time.
Gunna raps over a smooth beat, “Heard rumors that I was packing up and leaving. We’re not going anywhere. I’m staying here and going to fight it out. I meant, “F**k it. Let’s just give these n***as dark clouds.”
I’ve been gone for a few months, and all I can see are dark clouds.”

Gunna’s verse could be about a lot of different things. But many fans think he is talking about rumors that he will leave the YSL label and sign with a major label.
Still, Young Thug is waiting for his trial on eight counts of breaking the RICO Act, as well as charges related to drugs and guns. Jury selection is currently going on, and Judge Ural Glanville has told the courts that he thinks he needs at least 500-600 jurors, with 100 of them being qualified to serve on the jury. In short, the trial won’t even start for a long time.
The YSL trial is anticipated to last nine months to complete, and opening arguments might not begin until the fall, according to 11Alive.com.
Even though he is having trouble, Gunna seems to be back in the studio and making music.
