Nicki Minaj And Lil Wayne Are Having Sound Problems At Rolling Loud, So She Says, “Kill The DJ”

Nicki Minaj had trouble with the sound while she was performing with Lil Wayne during his set at 2023 Rolling Loud California, which made for some tense moments.

On Saturday (March 4), Lil Wayne was one of the headliners at the California version of a popular traveling festival. Tunechi’s set included him bringing out Nicki Minaj. That’s when things started to go wrong in the sound department.

Nicki and Wayne performed her song “High School” without any problems. Then she flew through her hit song “Super Freaky Girl” and moved on to her newest song, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” where she started having sound problems.

“Why is it so different?” Nicki asked a question at the 35:23 mark of the video below before getting the DJ to stop the music. “Is it offbeat or is it just my ear?” The DJ then started playing “Chun-Li,” but there were more sound issues.

“Stop. What the f*ck is good?” Nicki questioned. “Hey, Juice, fix my muthaf***in mix. What the f*ck is good? You know I don’t sit like that when the president is in the building. You know when the G.O.A.T. is in the building, I’ve got to do this right.

You know that when Young Money is in the building, the Queen has to get the f**k out. Who the f**k did they think was coming here? One of my mini-me toys.”

The sound problems kept happening, and the track went from “Chun-Li” to “Truffle Butter.” Then, Wayne joined Nicki Minaj onstage. “Killed the DJ. Kill that sound guy, “Nick said while she and Lil Wayne waited patiently for the audio to be fixed.

Both rappers kept their cool while waiting things out. They waited so long, Wayne had time to wish them a happy birthday. Things are finally fixed, and “Truffle Butter” is the song that ends up being played at the end of Nicki’s cameo.

Rolling Loud California was full of crazy moments, like when Playboi Carti debuted new music and Kodak Black got hit with a water bottle.
