Rare things that rappers like Eminem, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and others once owned are all up for auction right now. Gotta Have Rock and Roll, an auction site for music memorabilia, is paying tribute to hip-hop with items like an Eminem stage outfit and a page from Drake’s personal rhyme book where he wrote the lyrics to “Exposed,” a very rare diss track to Voyce.
The Hip-Hop Legends Auction also has unique items from artists like Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, and many more. Over the past 50 years, hip-hop has given us a lot of legendary moments brought to life by some of the most famous people in the music industry.
Along with these historic moments, there are some collectibles that will make some rappers famous forever, even after they’re gone from this world.
Important pieces of hip-hop memorabilia are often sold at auction for top dollar to rap game fans who want to show how much they love the culture and relive the moments that made them fall in love with it.
Even rappers who are legends in their own right have made money off of certain mementos that have only added to the myths and legends of hip-hop over time.
Back in 2021, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, was seen wearing the same crown that Notorious B.I.G. wore in his 1997 “King of New York” photo shoot. With a signature from the late Biggie Smalls, it’s likely that Hov and Bey bought the crown at an auction in 2020 for almost $600,000.
Now, as hip-hop turns 50, 50 years after DJ Kool Herc started what would become a worldwide phenomenon on Sedgewick Avenue in the Bronx in 1973, a new auction has been started to honor some of the hip-most hop’s legendary artists.
Here, Sources show some of the most wanted items from some of the best rap artists, all of which are up for auction until March 3, 2023.
