Did Marilyn Monroe’s Body Go Missing? If So, What Happened?

Ever since Netflix’s Blonde was released, viewers have taken a particular interest in Marilyn Monroe’s life. The supposed disappearance of the famous Hollywood actress’ corpse after her tragic death at the age of 36 is one of the mysteries that have surrounded her.

Eunice Murray, Marilyn’s housekeeper, discovered her corpse and alerted her doctor. The two then forced open her door and found Marilyn facedown and naked, having overdosed.

Marilyn’s body is said to have been absent for several hours between the time her body was found and when it was being readied for an autopsy, but is this genuine or just a rumor?

There were rumors circulating that Marilyn’s body disappeared following her death. Many hours may have passed on the day she died before her body was discovered. Dr. Thomas Noguchi, who conducted Monroe’s autopsy, later stated that the samples he took for the toxicology report had been “Destroyed.”

There has been no official confirmation of her disappearance or of the existence of any evidence to suggest that this is the case.

Where Did Marilyn’s Corpse Go Once She Passed Away?

Marilyn’s body was purportedly ‘abandoned’ at the local mortuary, however, there is no proof to substantiate this assertion. Eunice Murray, the maid, found the Some Like It Hot starlet naked and unresponsive in bed.

Monroe’s funeral director, Allan Abbott, reportedly said that the iconic bombshell was “nearly unrecognizable” in her final days. It was hard to believe this was Marilyn Monroe’s body when we pulled back the sheet,” he stated. She appeared to be an ordinary middle-aged lady who had not been caring for herself.

It was clear that her bad look had been substantially exaggerated by the circumstances of her death, and she was unrecognizably different from before.

Due to blood rushing to her skull, Monroe’s face swelled so much that morticians had to conduct surgery to relieve the pressure. Later, her ex-husband, the famed baseball star Joe DiMaggio, who she remained close to, came forward to claim her corpse.

A few days later, her funeral was held, and about 30 of her closest friends and family members paid their respects. She held a bouquet of pink flowers as she was laid to rest in a green Emilio Pucci outfit.

Her body was discovered in her bedroom at her Brentwood, California, home. Early on the morning of August 5, Eunice Murray, Monroe’s housekeeper, became alarmed when she saw that Monroe’s bedroom light was on.

The maid called Monroe’s psychiatrist, Dr. Ralph Greenson after Monroe did not respond to Murray’s calls and the door to her bedroom was shut. After sneaking in via a window at 3:30 in the morning, he began to investigate.

The actress was discovered naked, face down, and holding a phone in one hand on her bed. There were empty pill bottles all over the floor.

One of Monroe’s last phone calls, as told by Summer, was at 9:30 p.m. on August 4 to her hairstylist, Sydney Guilaroff. Reports claim that the actress confided in Guilaroff that Bobby Kennedy had “threatened” her earlier in the day by visiting her house.

However, Attorney John Bates told reporters that Attorney General Kennedy spent the whole weekend in Northern California with his family, casting doubt on the validity of Kennedy’s visit.

Actor Peter Lawford, whose wife was the Kennedy sister and socialite Pat Lawford, supposedly spoke to Monroe on August 4. When Monroe failed not to show up to a dinner invitation from the actor and his wife, he contacted her and told her that she was “despondent” about her professional and personal problems.

Monroe allegedly informed Lawford that she was too sleepy to come to dinner in “slurred” speech. Next, her voice grew fainter as she ordered him, “Put Pat out to pasture. I’m afraid you have to bid farewell to Jack [President Kennedy]. And good luck to you, since you really are a lovely man.”

An official police report states that the actor “still blames himself for not going to her house himself” after getting a “Gut Sensation” that something was wrong.
