According to NBC News, Holder was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison on February 22 for the murder of Nipsey Hussle, who was killed in a gunshot outside his Los Angeles clothes store nearly four years ago.
Holder was convicted of first-degree murder in July for the 2019 slaying of Hussle, 33. Holder was found guilty of gun possession as well as two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter.
Holder was originally charged with one count of first-degree murder in addition to two charges of attempted first-degree murder for two other people who were injured in the shooting.
He was found guilty of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter, the lower of the two offences, in relation to the two survivors. In July, when the jury made its decision, Holder’s lawyer, Aaron Jansen, said that he was both unhappy and thankful about it.
Jansen told E! News at the time, “I am very saddened by the verdict of first-degree murder.” “Due to the high-profile nature of the case, it was always going to be hard. We’re glad that the jury agreed with us that the case was overcharged and cleared Mr Holder, Jr. of the two attempted murder charges.”
Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, has been honoured and celebrated in many ways since his death. He won two posthumous Grammys in 2020 and got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hussle’s longtime girlfriend, Lauren London, who had a 6-year-old son with him named Kross Asghedom, has also continued to honour him over the years. Back in November, three years after the shooting, the 38-year-old looked back on her journey with grief and told E! News she had just begun to heal.

London said, “It’s something that will go on forever.” “Healing isn’t like a straight arrow. It goes up and down, so I don’t think I’m done with anything.”
Looking to the future, London said that she will keep his spirit alive in everything she does. She said, “No matter what I do, I will always think of him.”
