Joker: Folie a Deux director Todd Phillips has released a new still from the upcoming comic book movie. On Valentine’s Day, the director gave us our first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, along with Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker himself.
He posted the picture on Instagram and wrote “Happy Valentine’s Day” in the caption. One person wrote “Love is in the air” in the comments section, which made everyone very happy. Another person said, “We’re all breathing too fast! “Where is my breathing aid?” “My heart is about to drop,” said a third fan.
Lady Gaga also put up the same picture on her social media. Margot Robbie played Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad, which were both live-action movies.
We don’t know much else about the movie, but we do know that it’s a kind of musical and that it’s a sequel to the 2019 hit Joker, which won Phoenix his first Best Actor Oscar.
Joker, which came out a few years ago, was also directed by Todd Phillips and starred Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, and others. The movie, which was written by Phillips and Scott Silver, made over $1 billion worldwide, making it the most successful R-rated movie ever.
It also won a number of high-profile awards, such as the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. It was nominated for 11 Oscars and won two.
Even though the movie was well received by critics and did well at the box office, there were some people who didn’t like it because they thought it showed mental illness and people with it in a bad light.
The sequel is set to come out on October 9, 2024. Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Jacob Lofland are also said to be in Joker 2, along with Phoenix and Lady Gaga.
