Later, he attended Carnegie Mellon University and the Pittsburgh School of Law to complete a dual JD/MBA degree.
Dok collaborated with neurosurgeons to develop NeuroLife Noninvasive Solutions, a brain pressure measurement device, during his second year at Carnegie Mellon.
He served as a student clinician in a legal clinic while he was attending law school, giving advice to clients on everything from starting their own businesses to preventing foreclosure on their houses.
‘Dok’ ran for Mayor of Pittsburgh
Thanks to his schooling and job choices, “Dok” has established himself as a household name in politics in addition to his work and interests in science and law.
In March 2009, he made his intention to run for mayor of Pittsburgh known to the public. Dana and Franco actively participated in their son’s campaign and supported him.
