Hannah and Des, both 45 years old, got engaged on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021, after dating for less than a year.
Three months later, Hannah said that after five seasons, she was leaving Summer House. In 2019, she joined season three of the Bravo reality show. She wrote on Instagram at the time, “This past year has been one of the most important in my life for self-reflection, love, and learning a lot of stuff.”
“I’ve been open to new job opportunities, challenges, problems, and chances to grow. As we come out of the emotional lows of 2020, I’m looking forward to a fun summer, but I’m sad to say I won’t be spending it in the summer house.”
Hannah then decided to become a stand-up comedian. “Making people laugh is what makes me happy,” she wrote in her message, adding that she’ll soon be “telling fart jokes at comedy clubs and theatres near you.”

Years later, Bishop started following Berner on Instagram again and reached out to him.
“He direct messages me, and he’s very direct,” the Bravo star said. “He had been following me and had me in his feed… If all my stupid TikToks didn’t scare him away while I was in quarantine, that was a win.”
After dating for a few weeks, Berner left to film the fifth season of Summer House. Fans saw her get angry in the February 2021 premiere when Gulbranson brought another ex-girlfriend, Ciara Miller, to their vacation home.
“Hannah and I got along. Hannah and I get along great. “We have a lot in common,” Gulbranson told Us Weekly before the show’s debut. “We talk a lot. I thought Hannah was seeing someone, but maybe she thought it was something else. And I was just treating her like a friend as I always had.”
After filming Season 5 was done, Berner told her Instagram followers about Bishop in September 2020. After getting engaged in February 2021, they got married on a beach in the Hamptons in May 2022.

Berner started working on Summer House in 2019 during season 3, and he departed the show after season 5 concluded. Berner stated that after her engagement to Bishop, she felt she had “outgrown” the reality show during an interview on the “Shady S—t” podcast in July 2021.
She explained that it’s challenging to be in a “genuine, real, real” relationship on reality TV, especially if the program isn’t about the two of you but rather has a large cast. Reasoning: “I don’t think it’s worth putting my relationship on the line, because everyone has their own agendas and everything.”
