Maci and Ryan Edwards made an appearance on the premiere episode of “16 & Pregnant” in 2009. Despite their best efforts, they ran into issues, and in 2010 they broke up. They struggled to co-parent Bentley after their divorce since they were seeing other people. In a Chattanooga gym, Mackenzie Standifer first met Ryan, a charming diesel technician. She was unaware that he was already a reality star.
They started dating soon after when one thing led to another. Ryan’s on-screen persona rapidly captured Mackenzie’s attention, and Maci, his ex-fiance, gave her blessing. They promptly rented a home together and began their happily ever after. Ryan and Mackenzie got engaged in December 2016.
However, the couple faced a serious crisis when Mackenzie learned about Ryan’s drug addiction issues and immediately sought counseling.
